Lindsey Coltraine, MFT
Lindsey Coltraine is an Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Georgia. She works with adult individuals and couples.
Lindsey’s approach to therapy is based on interpersonal or client-centered concepts and a cognitive behavioral perspective- a research and empirically based treatment modality. With couples, she utilizes Gottman Method Couples Therapy- a highly proven and effective form of couples therapy based on years of research. She has completed Levels 1 and 2 of specialized training through the Gottman Institute.
Lindsey has been married to her husband since 2012, and they have three kids. They also have one dog, a rambunctious Weimaraner named Palmer. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Georgia. In her pursuit to find a career where she could express her passion for loving on others, she completed a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Georgia Health Sciences University. She worked for a few years in long-term acute care and then inpatient mental health where she gained great experience working with mental disabilities and substance abuse. Her experience as a nurse was invaluable, but she found that she really enjoyed connecting with people in a way that the duties of a nurse didn’t allow. Lindsey made the decision to go back to school and completed her Master of Family Therapy degree in December 2018 from Mercer University.
