Angela K. Wilson, Psy.D., LPC
Angela Wilson is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia. Angela works with adults, families, and couples who are experiencing a variety of psychological stressors which are preventing the individuals from maximizing their potential.
Angela has worked with clients addressing issues including interpersonal issues related to depression, anxiety, self-esteem, stress management, life transitions, childhood sexual abuse, trauma, addiction, grief, marital issues and career changes.
Angela is very passionate about the installation of hopefulness and recovery in human beings and she enjoys collaborating, encouraging, and providing support during the personal journeys of others. With a focus on strengths rather than pathology, Angela assists clients recognize how their past experiences are connected with their current concerns.
Angela employs a variety of therapeutic interventions and techniques and her primary philosophy of psychotherapy is attachment theory. Angela is trained in Levels 1 and 2 Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
In addition to her current private practice, Angela is an Adjunct Faculty member in the Psychology Department of Brenau University. Angela previously served as Assistant Director for the Brenau Center for Counseling and Psychological Services in Gainesville, Georgia.
Angela received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University and her Master of Science degree in Clinical Counseling/Psychology from Brenau University.
Angela accepts BlueCross/Blue Shield of Georgia.
